AC Milan are searching for a new sporting director, and today, Giorgio Furlani will begin the formal interviewing process as the club looks to move towards the future.

After the season that Milan have had, there is a need to change things on every level. To do this, the club see a sporting director as the best way to oversee this change, and so this summer, the club will hire a new brain for the project.

It seems that an Italian candidate is preferred, given the elected candidate will probably have a very good understanding of the division and what talents to pick from other teams in the league. However, these skills may be transferable.

As Corriere della Sera report this morning, the club will officially begin the interview stage today, with Furlani ready to speak to the five candidates who are seemingly running for the job, as Milan News relay.

However, there is one meeting to note especially. Fabio Paratici is set to meet with the club soon and as ‘the great favourite’ for the job, it is not a shock that his interview is being held in the opening stages of the process.

Furlani has a lot to decide, and considering the stakes of this summer and next season, the choice must be carefully considered.
