CorSera: School, family and a desire to improve – Camarda’s life away from the field | OneFootball

After his record-breaking debut in the Champions League, Francesco Camarda continues to be perhaps the most talked-about 16-year-old in Italy.

As Corriere della Sera (via Calciomercato.com) write this morning, Camarda is in a very important point in his formative path not only as a footballer, but also as a man. However, he is experiencing it with great maturity and a certain naturalness, without forgetting the real world from which he comes.

In Milan he still lives with his mother Federica and father Manuel, who take him back and forth every day from Milanello. They are a simple family, and are keeping him with his feet on the ground. At San Siro the emotion for his debut and for the disallowed goal was enormous, but after the game it was back to work as normal.

Another bit of trivia is that next to his parents was also Francesco’s new girlfriend, who is called Sofia and is not new to the world of football. Sofia is in fact the sister of Samuele Inacio, a former Atalanta playmaker who is now playing for Borussia Dortmund, and both are the children of Inácio Pià, a former striker for Atalanta and Napoli.

Camarda returned to his daily life after the match, which – like most 16 year olds – consists of school and being with his friends in the Comasina neighbourhood, in the north of Milan. Since he trains in the morning, he catches up on homework and school in the afternoon.

He studies at a linguistic high school and is very good at English and Spanish, which are his favourite subjects. He doesn’t like mathematics, but not many at his age does. In his schoolwork – his teachers told Corriere della Sera – there is always a great desire to improve, just like on the field.

In the spring, Milan signed him to his first professional contract until 2027 at just under €1m per season, with the plan of developing him between the first team and Milan Futuro. Today his market value is €10m, but all of this is destined to multiply appearance after appearance, even in Serie C.
