Costacurta believes Milan have ‘more quality’ than Juventus but still lack | OneFootball

AC Milan teeter on a very thin line, and they have done for some time, and that is between quality and application. Against Feyenoord, again they fell short.

In the past few seasons, Milan have, frustratingly, been more of a talented team that fails to apply it. The mesmerising ability is present, but there is a regularity with performances that seems to hurt the squad consistently.

Paulo Fonseca called it out regularly, and even Conceicao is starting to see signs of it, and this is why he was so frustrated after the game in mid-week.

After all, everyone knows how good this Rossoneri team can be when they perform, but they often fail to reach that level for whatever reason. Whether it’s effort or even just the quality of their performances.

Today, Billy Costacurta has pitifully analysed the problems from the Champions League game, and Football Italia have relayed his words to Sky.

“In my opinion, they put in the effort, but the problem is that there was no quality. While Juventus, and this is just my opinion, don’t have a great deal of quality in terms of creating play, I believe that Milan do. However, they didn’t show it.

“There was effort without quality, and that’s surprising because usually, with a certain type of players, the results should be better in terms of quality.
