Date and time confirmed for Youth League trip to Hoffenheim | OneFootball

A date and kick-off time for City’s Under-19s’ trip to Hoffenheim in the UEFA Youth League Round of 16 has been confirmed.

Our trip to Germany will see us take on the 2023/24 South/Southwest U19 Bundesliga champions on Wednesday 5 March, with kick-off scheduled for 13:00 (UK).

The Dietmar-Hopp-Stadion in Hoffenheim will host the clash.

Ben Wilkinson’s side qualified for the Round of 16 after a 5-4 penalty shootout win over FC Midtjylland was the decisive moment between the two teams following a 2-2 draw in 90 minutes.

The hosts advanced to the latest stage of the prestigious competition following a 5-1 win over eight-man Shakhtar Donetsk.

The teams also already know the potential route to Switzerland and the final, a stage of the competition City have never reached.

The winner of the clash will face either Real Madrid or AZ Alkmaar on the road.

Before then, City’s attention will be on our Premier League 2 fixtures against Tottenham Hotspur, Middlesbrough and Chelsea before we prepare for a trip to Germany.
