David Raya and Matz Sels have been named joint winners of the 2024/25 Golden Glove award, which is given to the goalkeeper with the most clean sheets in a Premier League season.

Both Raya and Sels finished the season with 13 clean sheets. On the final day, Sels conceded during Forest's 1-0 loss to Chelsea. Shortly after that, Raya let in a goal during Arsenal’s 2-1 victory over Southampton, confirming that the two would share the award.

Thirteen clean sheets mark the lowest total ever required to win the Golden Glove, with the previous lowest being 14 by Joe Hart in the 2014/15 season.

This is only the third time since the award was introduced in 2004/05 that it has been shared between two goalkeepers. Previous shared wins came in 2013/14 (Petr Cech and Wojciech Szczesny) and in 2021/22 (Alisson and Ederson).

Raya, who also claimed the award last season, becomes just the fourth goalkeeper to win it in back-to-back years, joining Liverpool’s Pepe Reina and Manchester City’s Joe Hart and Ederson.

Looking ahead to the 2025/26 campaign, Raya will aim to become only the third goalkeeper to win the Golden Glove in three straight seasons, a record currently held by Reina and Hart.
