It has been a productive transfer deadline day for the Giallorossi, who also have an agreement in place with Eredivisie side FC Twente over a deal for defender Anass Salah-Eddine.
Gourna-Douath and Salah-Eddine are set to become Claudio Ranieri’s third and fourth signings of the January transfer window, following the earlier arrivals of Pierluigi Gollini from Atalanta and Devyne Rensch from Ajax.
The documents for both of those deals will need to be deposited before the transfer window slams shut at 23.00 GMT on Monday night.
