Durham Women sign Aimee Claypole on loan from Chelsea | OneFootball

Durham Women have signed England youth international forward Aimee Claypole on loan from Chelsea for the remainder of the season.

She has represented England at U-17, U-18 and U-19 levels, after her initial international appearances were for Finland U-15s.

Her WSL debut came in March 2023 and a loan spell at Lewes was followed by another at Linkoping during the first half of this season, scoring three times in 13 games for the Swedish side and playing in the Champions League.

Claypole told durhamwfc.co.uk: “I’m really excited to be here. The ambition of the club for the second half of the season is where I want to be as well.

“Hopefully it will be a good loan for me and also for the club to try and push for promotion.”
