Real Madrid have reportedly stepped up their interest in Atalanta midfielder Ederson, who has also been a target for Manchester United in recent months, according to reports in Italy.
According to reports from Calciomercato.com, scouts from Madrid have been to watch Ederson on numerous occasions this season, and it is understood that they are the most interested in a long list of potential suitors, that also includes United, PSG, Manchester City and Juventus.
Ederson has faced Madrid twice this season and has ended up on the losing side on both occasions. Despite that, the Brazilian earned rave reviews for his performances in both the UEFA Super Cup and the Champions League meeting between the two sides in December.

According to Tuesday’s reports, Atalanta will only entertain offers above the €60m mark for Ederson, who is currently tied to La Dea by a contract that runs until the summer of 2027.
Calciomercato.com suggest that the Brazilian could go on to become Madrid’s ‘new Casemiro’ should a deal go ahead.
