Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca will annoy Blues fans even more in some comments that he has doubled down on this week.
The Italian has been speaking to the media yesterday ahead of tonight’s Premier League clash against Brighton.
Chelsea lost 2-1 to Brighton on Saturday night in the fourth round of the FA Cup after being a goal ahead early doors. They will be hoping for a better outcome in the league as they battle for Champions League qualification this season.
Maresca has already been explaining that he could setup differently on Friday due to injuries to his only two strikers, Marc Guiu and Nicolas Jackson.
The Blues boss has also explained why he said he thought Jackson was initially ‘OK’ after his injury but he is not out for 6-8 weeks.
The rest of the quotes that were embargoed from the press conference have now been released late last night, and I fear that many Blues fans will not be happy with some of them yet again!

Fans were unhappy that Maresca didn’t seem too bothered that Chelsea had been knocked out of the FA Cup and looked towards the positives of being able to concentrate on other competitions instead.
He then doubled down yesterday on his comments after Saturday’s FA Cup exit at Brighton.
“The reason why I said this is because we are not ready to compete in four competitions in one season. As I said, if there is something positive, it is we can focus on the two competitions.”
So there you have it, folks!
