WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Blue Girls this morning.
The 20-year-old has represented Barcelona at first team level after impressing for the club’s B Team. She was a quadruple winner with the Catalan club last season. Fernandez’s trophy haul in 2023/2024 included the Spanish league title and the UEFA Women’s Champions League.
On the international stage, Fernandez has represented Spain up to and including Under-23 level. The centre-back is a two-time UEFA Women’s Under-19 Championship winner with her national team.
After securing her loan move to Walton Hall Park, Fernandez said “I am so excited to be here and I cannot wait to play. I know Everton is a historic club and that the fans are very supportive, so I cannot wait to meet them.
“They can expect hard work from me. I will give my everything on the pitch.”
Fernandez is Everton’s second signing of the summer transfer window. She could be in-line to make her debut for the Merseyside side club when they face Tottenham Hotspur in the Adobe Women’s FA Cup fourth round next weekend.
