Four players likely to leave Barcelona at the end of the season

FC Barcelona are beginning to plan their squad for next season under Hansi Flick, and early signs point to some interesting movements.
The number of new signings is likely to be small – with the idea being to rope in a new right-back and a midfielder.
However, there will be quite a few departures, with the Catalans likely to cut some players who are not a major part of the manager’s plans so as to clear some salary space as well as generate as much revenue as possible.
With that in mind, here are four players who seem destined to leave Barcelona in the summer transfer window of 2025.
One of the most prominent names likely to leave Barça in the summer is Ansu Fati. The current Blaugrana No. 10 has fallen out of favour under Flick after a rather dull season on loan at Brighton & Hove Albion last time out.
Fati has played only nine times this season with just two of those appearances coming in 2025. Despite having a chance to leave in January, the forward opted to stay and fight for his place, but things have not worked out for him.
As such, Ansu has decided to leave Barcelona at the end of the season with his agent Jorge Mendes already working on finding him a new club.

Another La Masia graduate who has fallen out of favour and is destined to leave the Catalan club in the transfer window is Inaki Pena. The 26-year-old started as Flick’s choice in goal after Marc-Andre ter Stegen’s injury, but has since been overtaken by Wojciech Szczesny.
Pena’s contract expires in 2026 and with Szczesny expected to sign a new deal and Ter Stegen set to return imminently, the Spanish shot-stopper will become the third-choice goalkeeper.
As such, a summer departure is pretty much a given at this point with the academy product even changing agents recently ahead of his likely exit.

Given the number of centre-backs on the books, coupled with the potential arrival of Jonathan Tah in the summer, Barcelona will likely sell one of the defenders and everything points towards Andreas Christensen being that guy.
The Dane has played just one time this season thanks to relentless injury problems and with his contract expiring in 2026, he has not been offered a renewal by the club.
Though he has performed reliably during his time at Barça, Christensen does not seem to have a place in the squad and can fetch a good fee in the market given the interest from the Premier League.

Signed permanently from Girona last summer after impressing on loan with Barça Atletic, Pau Victor showed a lot of promise in pre-season but it has not translated into regular game-time once the campaign proper began.
Even though he is a regular in the matchday squad, the 23-year-old has made only 22 appearances, totalling up to 265 minutes, of which only 45 minutes have come in 2025.
Victor is rated highly by Barcelona but given his situation, a summer departure is a certain possibility – even if it is on loan instead of a permanent exit.
