Friedkins fly to US, avoid Rome for fear of protests from fans | OneFootball

Dan and Ryan Friedkin did not return to Rome after stopping in London earlier in the week.

The Texan owners of the club spent the past week in the English capital where they met with Claudio Ranieri to discuss their plan of appointing him head coach of the team.

Following Ranieri’s appointment, La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that the Friedkins returned to their home, in the States, in Houston, where they will probably stay with their loved ones, their family.

At the moment, the Friedkins absolutely do not want to get close to Rome, writes the newspaper, also for fear of being openly conteste by the fans.

Dan and Ryan are two people who love popularity and consensus and their nosedive in terms of image in recent months has always made them think that it was better to keep away from Rome.
