Paris Saint-Germain are just one match away from grasping their Holy Grail. On Saturday night, they will take to the stage in Munich, where they’ll face Inter Milan in the Champions League final – a competition they have desperately pursued over the past decade.

For Kevin Bromet, who grew up a stone’s throw away from the old PSG training ground, Camp des Loges, but now follows from afar in Australia, the opportunity to see his club lift Europe’s most prestigious trophy in person was one he could ill afford to miss… even if he is missing the most important thing, a ticket for the match.

Kevin is travelling around 34,000 kilometres on 61 hours of flights from Brisbane to Los Angeles to London to Paris before eventually landing in Munich for the final ahead of a return trip via Helsinki to Singapore and landing in Melbourne. However, the price of all these flights has paled in comparison to the hottest ticket in French football.

Touts, reselling websites, and scammers are demanding around 3,000 to 4,000 euros for a ticket to the final, an eye-watering sum even before considering that the purchase comes with no financial security attached and no guarantee that the ticket is real.

None of this has stopped Kevin from taking the arduous trip from Australia in search of a ticket that will see his journey continue beyond the security gates at the Allianz Arena. Hope fuels football, and for Kevin, it has seen him travel across the world to see the team he loves play their most important match.
