Gallas names £150m star as ideal striker to guide Arsenal to the title | OneFootball

Arsenal are expected to pursue a new striker this summer as they look to finally get over the line in the Premier League title race – and former Gunners defender William Gallas believes there’s a clear answer.

Asked who could be “the striker Arsenal need to take them to the Premier League title,” Gallas was emphatic: “It’s Alexander Isak.”

“He would really fit in at Arsenal, he knows the Premier League and has adapted so well, he would produce results straight away,” continued the 49-year-old in an interview with Live Casinos.

However, the biggest obstacle facing Mikel Arteta’s side would be the financial cost, with Newcastle reportedly demanding around £150m for the striker. Still, Gallas is adamant that Isak is worth every penny and believes his arrival would elevate the entire Arsenal team.

“It will be a difficult signing financially, and the pressure will be bigger on him at Arsenal than it is at Newcastle, but he would give the rest of the team more freedom while getting his own goals also.”

“He can play with the ball at his feet and bring other players into play. He is tall, quick, and understands the game. Isak is the right player,” said Gallas.
