Milan’s majority shareholder Gerry Cardinale has now put 22 percent of his shares of the club on sale.

La Repubblica have reported, via Calciomercato, that RedBird currently own 96 percent of the Rossoneri and Cardinale has put 22 percent of those shares on sale since May 2024.

This can be deduced from a commercial document that Washington Harbour , an investment and financial consultancy company, has begun to circulate on behalf of RedBird to potential investors for the purchase of a shareholding, equal to 22% of the capital.

The document from the company says: “Selling at the base cost price (i.e. without profit) up to €150 million of the initial invested capital of €681 million, given the company’s need to lower the amount of the investment to rebalance the portfolio.”

In the document, Milan and the RedBird fund also talked about the possibility of building a stadium in San Donato. To build the facility, an investment of €1 billion was envisaged. Sporting objectives of the club are also mentioned, with the document stating that the club will finish a guaranteed third place for the next three seasons in the Serie A and will have a regular presence in the Champions League.
