Kane has reportedly been struggling with ankle and groin issues and he was absent from training on Wednesday.

The striker is currently working on an individualised programme at England’s St. George’s Park base and is likely to miss Thursday’s game against Greece at Wembley.

England are also in action on Sunday, when they travel to Helsinki to face Finland, and it remains to be seen if Kane will be fit for that.

Jack Grealish also missed training on Wednesday, but that was only as a precaution due to a minor knock.

England interim boss Lee Carsley has, however, called up Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones and Newcastle defender Tino Livramento.

The pair arrived in camp on Tuesday night and will hope they get a chance to make their senior debuts for England.

The Three Lions were hit by Morgan Gibbs-White, Ezri Konsa and Kobbie Mainoo all being forced to pull out of the squad after picking up injuries during last weekend’s Premier League games.

Following call-ups for Livramento and Jones, Carlsey now has a squad of 23 players for this week’s Nations League games.

England are currently second in League B Group 2 after winning both their opening games against the Republic of Ireland and Finland.

Greece, who they face on Thursday, have also won both their first two matches and are ahead of England on goal difference.
