Leicester 0 Newcastle 3 – Monday 7 April 8pm
The photo that Newcastle United fans had all really really wanted to see Monday night.
A match that was over inside two minutes.
Great work by Livramento to set up Murphy to score.
Up against a Leicester team who last scored at home in the Premier League on 8 December 2024, I don’t think anybody watching thought anything other than a Newcastle win from that point on.
Two goals for Jacob Murphy and Harvey Barnes returning to Leicester to score against his old club.
A winning snapshot post-match.
Another photo = The twenty third one of this season.
The Newcastle United Head Coach introduced this tradition of a post-match everybody included photo following each victory, as he felt it had worked as a bonding exercise when he was at Bournemouth.
(It is actually the twenty fifth victory of the season for United but for whatever reasons, no winning photo after the win over AFC Wimbledon. Then at the Emirates, I think for sure that no post-match dressing room photo was done due to the fact the Arsenal semi-final tie was only at halfway.)
It is also a massive bonus just how much it winds up fans of certain other clubs and journalists.
‘Look at them, think they have won the Premier League / Champions League… etc etc’
I absolutely love it.
Eight more Premier League games to go, so hopefully plenty more of these photos to come this season.
