Manchester United and Arsenal tonight clash in the quarter-finals of the FA Youth Cup.
The Red Devils have sailed into this stage of the competition, with former Arsenal youngster Chido Obi-Martin scoring a hat-trick against Chelsea last time out.
Still, it remains to be seen if the forward does feature and rub further salt into Arsenal’s wounds given their problems scoring goals, albeit at senior level.
Such is the excitement about Obi-Martin, Ruben Amorim has called him into senior squads recently, so he will perhaps sit this one out ahead of United’s FA Cup clash with Fulham on Sunday.
Arsenal, meanwhile, have had a slightly more complicated route to the final eight. They avoided defeat against non-league Hertford Town before edging past London rivals QPR on penalties.
The young Gunners are out to avenge their defeat in the 2023 final of this competition, which came during Jack Wilshere’s time in charge.
The likes of Jack Porter and Max Dowman have mingled with the first team this season and it will be fascinating to see if Arsenal’s next generation can impress on the big stage at the Emirates Stadium.
