Tuttosport newspaper reports that USMNT star Timothy Weah has been talking to Jonathan David about his possible move to Juventus as a free agent next summer.

Juventus may have a secret weapon in the race to sign Canada international David. The 24-year-old is unwilling to sign a contract extension with his club, Lille, so he will be available on a free transfer in June.

It is no secret that Juventus director Cristiano Giuntoli is a long-time admirer of the Canadian striker.

According to Tuttosport, David’s ex-Lille teammate Weah may help the Bianconeri secure the striker’s signature.

According to the report, Weah has been directly talking to David regarding a possible move to Juventus next season.

The American winger already revealed in 2023 that David had “asked questions” about the Bianconeri.

In his latest interview with The Athletic, Weah said that David is one of his best friends in football.

Transfer expert Matteo Moretto reported earlier this month that Inter, Newcastle, and Barcelona were also interested in David. However, he warned that his signing would be pretty expensive due to salary and agent fees.
