One Chelsea player has been called out on one thing this afternoon from a former England international striker, who also offers compliments.
To be honest, everyone has had their opinions on this guy ever since he arrived at Chelsea, and there is a lot of people who have made good points, others are just wild and without substance and context.
I think this latest opinion from Gary Lineker is actually pretty much on point and really hits the mark. Who better to speak on a current Premier League striker than one who was actually probably one of the best strikers to ever play the game?
Nicolas Jackson has had plaudits and critics since he arrived at Chelsea. John Obi Mikel was only once again digging him out earlier today and asking Chelsea to sign a new striker, as he has been all season really.
But Lineker has offered some big compliments to Jackson and basically just said it how it is really, in my humble opinion.
Jackson scores in training
In words cited on X today, Lineker says:
“I think with Jackson there’s a lot of good in his game. The way he spins, his movement is really good… I don’t think he’s a natural finisher, but if you work at it and train on all those things. If he can improve that facet of his game, I mean, he could be top class. He’s still obviously very young, so that improvement can come.”
These words are more than fair in my opinion and I completely agree with him. He’s even leaving room for the improvements and for Jackson to get better at finishing, which he does need to do, and it’s completely OK to say that whilst also offering balance with your opinion.
