Inter Milan are not obligated to release striker Francesco Pio Esposito for the Under-21 Euros during the Club World Cup.
FIFA have updated on the regulations around the competition, via FCInterNews.
This will be a pivotal summer for young Inter Milan striker Francesco Pio Esposito.
The 19-year-old has enjoyed an outstanding season on loan with Spezia in Serie B.
Therefore, it will now be time for Inter and Pio Esposito to start thinking about how to build on this campaign.
Inter Milan definitely consider Esposito to be part of their long-term first team plans.
However, Pio Esposito will need to gain more experience before he can earn his place in the Inter first team.
Inter want to loan Francesco Pio Esposito out again next season. They want him to get experience in Serie A.
Torino and Bologna are reportedly keen on loaning the teenage striker in for next season. Meanwhile, if Spezia are to win promotion, he could certainly remain in Liguria another season.
Meanwhile, Napoli remain extremely keen on Pio Esposito. They would want to sign him outright, however.

In the meantime, there is also the question of Pio Esposito’s more immediate future.
The Club World Cup next month could represent an opportunity for Inter coach Simone Inzaghi to get a closer look at the young striker.
Then, Inzaghi could assess the 19-year-old in training, and even give him time on the pitch.
However, there is one problem in this regard.
The Under-21 Euros will be taking place next month as well.
And Pio Esposito is certainly a crucial player for Italy’s Under-21 team. Therefore, the Azzurri want him for the tournament, where he’d have a prominent role.
FIFA have released a document regarding player registration for the Club World Cup, however.
As such clubs are not obligated to release players for international tournaments during the tournament.
Therefore, Inter will make a decision along with Esposito as to whether the Under-21 Euros or the Club World Cup will be the priority for him.
