Ultras group the Curva Nord have launched a scathing attack and plans to protest expensive ticket prices for Inter Milan home games.
The Nord announced that there will be twenty minutes of silence from them at the start of every Nerazzurri match at the San Siro in an official statement, via FCInter1908.
Inter Milan ticket prices are on the rise.
And Nerazzurri ultras group the Curva Nord have decided to make their opposition to this trend clear.
The ultras are currently in some major legal difficulties.
This is the result of an investigation into alleged criminal activities and mafia ties with prominent ultras leaders.
Nevertheless, this has not prevented the Nord from intervening in the matter of ticket prices.
The Curva Nord released an official statement. It begins: “Months have passed since events that have severely affected our Curva.
“Months in which we’ve reorganized to preserve the history of an ultras movement that began over 55 years ago.”
They continue: “Months in which we’ve had to grit out teeth. Continuing down our path, navigating repression and crazy bans.
“Months in which we’ve bent over backwards to follow Inter to away matches.”
“Months in which we’ve been forbidden to display even the most banal banner on the barricades.”
The statement goes on: “Months in which our flags have not been able to fly. Months in which we haven’t been able to set up any kinds of choreography.
“And months in which we’ve had to endure a shameful increase in ticket prices, both home and away.”
The Nord’s statement continues: “After months, we still haven’t been told why the group banners and our flags cannot be in the stadium.”
“Banners and flags that have represented hundreds of people for decades.”
“Symbols of spontaneous youth passion that have united generations of fans in the name of their faith in Inter.”
However, they go on: “Following the most recent meeting, we’ve decided that the time has come to start demonstrating our discontent.”
“Therefore, from the next match on, we will observe a period of silence as a protest during the first twenty minutes of every match.”
They add that “Repression and insane costs are wearing down our passion.”
“We can’t stand idly by and watched.”
‘The prices for matches against Feyenoord and Bayern Munich were the straw that broke the camel’s back,” the Nord write.
