On Tuesday evening, the final Nations League fixtures of the November international window were played. Two Nerazzurri players took to the pitch for their respective national teams on the final matchday of the competition's group stage, namely Stefan De Vrij and Kristjan Asllani. The Netherlands finished with a draw, while Albania were relegated to League C.

De Vrij, who started the match, played the full 90 minutes for the Oranje away to Bosnia and Herzegovina. The game finished 1-1, with Demirovic's second-half equaliser cancelling out Brobbey's opener in the first half. Dumfries remained on the bench for the Dutch, who have finished second in League A Group 3 with nine points. They will compete in the quarter-finals, which they'd already reached by beating Hungary.

It was a disappointing night for Albania, for whom Kristjan Asllani played the full 90 minutes against Ukraine in Tirana. The match finished 2-1 to the visitors: after goals from Zinchenko and Yaremchuk, the Albanians pulled one back through Bajrami's 75th-minute penalty, but they weren't able to find an equaliser. Albania have been relegated to League C after finishing bottom of League B Group 1 with seven points, the same as Georgia but with a worse goal difference.

Hakan Calhanoglu's Türkiye also fell to defeat, although the Nerazzurri midfielder didn't play in the match away to Montenegro. The Turks have finished second in League B Group 4 behind Wales, who beat Iceland on the final matchday to claim top spot. However, Türkiye could still obtain promotion to League A in the playoffs scheduled for March.

On Tuesday afternoon, meanwhile, Mehdi Taremi played for Iran against Kyrgyzstan in 2026 World Cup qualifying.

The match, which took place at the Dolen Omurzakov Stadium in Bishkek, finished 3-2 to Iran. Taremi, the captain of his national team, started the game and opened the scoring. After taking a 2-0 lead into the break, the Iranians were pegged back but emerged victorious thanks to Azmoun's 76th-minute goal. Taremi played the full 90 minutes and has finished the latest international window with a goal, three assists and 171 minutes to his name.

After six matchdays, Iran sit first with 16 points in Group A of the World Cup Asian qualifiers.
