The Swedish international - who also won the Premier League's EA Sports Player of the Month prize, as well as the Guinness Goal of the Month gong for December - was in outstanding form for the Magpies in the final month of 2024, netting eight goals and two assists in six league matches.
The 25-year-old scored in each of his six December appearances, beginning with his award-winning strike in the 3-3 draw at home to Liverpool before netting Eddie Howe's side's first goal in the defeat at Brentford.
Isak then bagged a goal and assist in the 4-0 win over Leicester City before becoming the first United player since Ayoze Pérez in 2019 to score a hat-trick after his exploits in the thrashing of Ipswich Town.
He rounded off the month, and the calendar year, with further goals against Aston Villa and Manchester United and saw off competition from Morgan Gibbs-White of Nottingham Forest, Deane Huijsen of Bournemouth, Cole Palmer of Chelsea, Fulham's Antonee Robinson and Liverpool's Mohamed Salah to win the PFA prize following a public vote - his third award for his December heroics.
