Marseille have reached an agreement with Chelsea to sign Aaron Anselmino on loan according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
The transfer window closes at 11pm tonight, meaning we are now into the final hours, and Chelsea still have plenty of work to do.
The Blues haven’t signed anyone yet, but are still looking to bring a midfielder and attacker in, whilst they are still trying to finalise a number of departures.
The Blues agreed a deal to sign Anselmino last summer from Boca Juniors and then sent him back on loan to the Argentine side.
However, given injuries to Wesley Fofana and Benoit Badiashile, Chelsea took the decision to recall the 19-year-old.
Anselmino has been training at Cobham for a few weeks now, but has yet to feature for the first team, with Chelsea also recalling Trevoh Chalobah to help ease their defensive issues.

The teenager is regarded as one for the future and is one of a number of signings Chelsea have made from South America.
It now seems Anselmino could be heading to Europe to get some much needed first team experience, with Marseille his proposed destination, and Romano has provided an update on the situation.
He took to X.com and said:
“Olympique Marseille and Chelsea have agreed on Aaron Anselmino loan move. Now it all depends on how Chelsea will decide to manage loan spots as they still have many decisions to make.
“Atalanta, not in the race anymore as they sign Stefan Posch from Bologna.”
It will be interesting to see what Chelsea decide and having recalled David Datro Fofana and Caleb Wiley they have three international loan spots left.

Carney Chukwuemeka will take one of those when he completes his move to Borussia Dortmund, whilst Deivid Washington is likely to take another one with the striker close to joining Santos.
That would leave one available for Anselmino and it would be a great move for him and the perfect opportunity to gain some much needed experience in one of Europe’s top five leagues.
