Italian journalist Carlo Pellgatti believes that Roberto De Zerbi could be a shock replacement for Simone Inzaghi at Inter Milan.
Speaking on Area Fritta, via FCInter1908, the journalist made the shock claim that the Nerazzurri should part ways with Inzaghi if they fail to win any silverware this season.
At the moment at least, coach Simone Inzaghi would seem to be in a very strong position at Inter Milan.
The 48-year-old has won at least one trophy in each of his three seasons at the club to date.
This season, Inter have not won any silverware yet. They failed to win the Supercoppa Italiana for the first time since Inzaghi took charge.
Inter are, however, top of the Serie A table at the moment.
Moreover, Inter are also in the Coppa Italia semifinals, and the Champions League quarterfinals.
Reports suggest that a new contract is in the pipeline for Simone Inzaghi at Inter Milan.
However, if negotiations on that new deal were to go south, the pressure on any replacement for the former Lazio coach would certainly be enormous.

In all likelihood, Inter would go in search of a replacement who is Italian.
And the ideal candidate could very well be former Sassuolo, Sahakhtar Donetsk, and Brighton and Hove Albion coach Roberto De Zerbi. At least according to Italian journalist Carlo Pellgatti.
De Zerbi is currently in charge of Marseille in Ligue 1.
There has been some turbulence for the French giants this season. However, they look to have found their form under the Italian tactician.
Italian journalist Carlo Pellgatti argued that “If Inter don’t win any trophies this season, in my opinion it wouldn’t be easy for them to stay on with Inzaghi as coach.”
“And watch out if they don’t keep him,” he added. “I can tell you who the next Inter coach will be: De Zerbi.”
