Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly interested in Aston Villa forward Jhon Durán as they aim to bolster their attack with a long-term addition.
Journalist Ben Jacobs has shared that PSG are keen on the Colombian striker, but a major challenge lies in Aston Villa’s £80 million valuation. This hefty price reflects Durán’s solid form and his recent contract extension.
Villa seem determined to keep Durán unless an extraordinary offer comes in. PSG, however, value him closer to £55 million, leaving a significant gap between the two clubs. Meanwhile, other teams are said to be keeping an eye on the situation.
Jacobs also mentioned that Villa recently rejected a £57 million bid from West Ham, marking the Premier League club’s second offer this window. Villa are reportedly holding out for offers closer to £85 million (€100 million).

Sky Sports’ Jamie Carragher thinks Aston Villa can’t keep two top-quality strikers in their squad and is in favor of selling Durán.
“I’d sell Jhon Durán,” Carragher said (h/t TEAMtalk). “It probably goes against the grain of what most football clubs would do because normally in that situation you would sell the older one.
“But I would probably try and get an extra £10million. People always talk about big squads – some players just want to know when they’re playing.
“I don’t think you’re getting the best out of Ollie Watkins knowing that Jhon Durán is going to come on with 15-20 minutes every game. But he has to bring him on with 15-20 minutes to go because he’s going to be unhappy.
“I just think sometimes you have players who are almost too good in the same position and one player needs to know he’s the man and I think that’s Ollie Watkins. And I think you could get good money for Durán.
“Villa fans may say he’s a great young striker but I just think the dynamic isn’t going to work, they can’t play together. Get your £50-60million and reinvest it into the squad.”
