Joan Garcia is the most talked about player in Spain at the moment, with the RCD Espanyol goalkeeper being a summer transfer target for a plethora of top clubs, including FC Barcelona.
The 24-year-old shot-stopper was critical to Espanyol surviving relegation from La Liga but is set to depart this summer, with his €25 million release clause coming into effect.
Barcelona, for their part, have positioned themselves as an interested party to acquire Garcia’s services and have even put forth a contract offer for the player.
Clubs from the Premier League, too, are in the race for the goalkeeper, with Newcastle United and Arsenal said to be among those keen.
Now, according to journalist Xavi Espinosa, Joan Garcia has already made his decision on where he will be playing next season. And, as per the update, it will be either Barcelona or Newcastle United.

Espanyol, for their part, are already aware of their star goalkeeper’s departure and have already prepared for his exit.
There have been concerns that Garcia’s ties with the Parakeets could force him to reconsider the idea of joining their bitter rivals Barcelona.
However, the 2024 Paris Olympics gold medallist has so far refused to close the door on making the switch between the two Catalan clubs.
In fact, reports earlier in the week suggested that Garcia’s entourage believes that the move to Barcelona will go through.
With the player now believed to have already made his decision, it will not be long before his next destination is revealed.
