Juventus have accelerated talks for the signing of Fiorentina defender Pietro Comuzzo, according to journalist Sacha Tavolieri.

The Bianconeri are planning a squad overhaul this summer and have identified Comuzzo as one of their top targets.

Comuzzo has made an astounding impact with the first team with his impressive performances this season.

The 20-year-old has been a colossus in the backline for Raffaele Palladino’s side, making 36 appearances in all competitions.

He has been pivotal in La Viola’s quest for European places and their progression to the Europa Conference League quarter-finals.

His stellar form also led to his maiden call-up to the Italy squad in November. He is poised to make his debut soon.

Comuzzo’s quick rise to prominence has also caught the attention of top clubs. Napoli were keen to sign him in the winter transfer window but a move failed to materialise.

The Partenopei are still keeping tabs on the prodigious centre-back, but Juve are looking to beat them in the transfer race.

However, La Viola are unwilling to listen to any offers below €35 million for Comuzzo, who is contracted until June 2028.

The Bianconeri are looking to back manager Igor Tudor in the summer transfer window, having reportedly decided to extend his contract until the end of the 2025/26 season.

Defensive reinforcements are a priority following Danilo’s departure in January and Gleison’s Bremer’s long-term injury.

Juve are also planning to complete the permanent transfer of AC Milan loanee Pierre Kalulu for €17 million.
