Juventus have set their sights on David Hancko to reinforce the injury-hit defence, but Feyenoord could try to keep him until the end of the season, even after a sale.

The Bianconeri made no secret of their hunt for central defenders after both Gleison Bremer and Juan Cabal were ruled out for six months by anterior cruciate ligament tears.

While Ronald Araujo has been the main subject of discussion so far this month, Barcelona are reticent to lower the €55m asking price, even though he will be out of contract in June 2026.

Hancko for the present or future

Sky Sport Italia transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio maintains their next target is Hancko, who has the advantage of also being able to play as a left-back.

The 27-year-old Slovakia international has experience of Italian football, having moved to Fiorentina in 2018, going on to Sparta Prague and in 2022 was sold to Feyenoord for €8.3m.

Juventus will try to secure him in the January transfer window, but Feyenoord at the moment seem more likely to open the door in the summer.

A potential solution, claim Sky Sport Italia, is to give a slight discount if Juve make the purchase now, but leave him in the Netherlands on loan until June.
