Kim Min-Jae hasn’t been superb at Bayern Munich and could leave in the summer should the team decide to go in another direction, and Juventus are waiting in the wings to potentially seize the opportunity. They are looking for a top player at the position, Tuttomercatoweb relays.
Their director Cristiano Giuntoli is obviously familiar with the Korean international and his camp having brought him to Napoli with his former colleague Maurizio Micheli. He stayed just a season with the Azzurri, as the Bavarians activated his €50M release clause.
Kim Min-Jae could switch sides again two years later as he hasn’t lived up to expectations, and Juventus will be in the mix if Bayern Munich puts him on the market to add a new defender. He’s expected to draw interest from Saudi Arabia as well. He wouldn’t have a problem going there, as he’s been quite the journeyman throughout his career.
On the other hand, the center-back is 28, and he might prefer staying in Europe if he has the opportunity to do so. He has appreciated his brief time in Serie A.
It’s baffling to see him flounder since he was so dominant in Italy. Perhaps there’s some physical or tactical reason behind his difficulties, or he simply didn’t find his footing in Germany. He and Gleison Bremer are a little duplicative, but it’d be a tremendous pairing in a four-man line. These two teams have done a lot of business together in recent years, often solving each other’s issues. But it’ll depend on the price tag and salary, as the Bianconeri have been cautious with their payroll lately.
