Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé secured for himself a special piece of history, during the club’s meeting with Barcelona on Sunday.

Real of course marked their return to action a short time ago.

In the knowledge that nothing but a victory would suffice, Los Blancos made the trip to Catalunya’s capital, for the season’s final Clásico.

When all was said and done, Carlo Ancelotti’s injury-hit squad could not manage as much, however, condemned to the wrong side of a 4-3 result.

And yet, one Blancos star who came away from the fixture with his head held high was the aforementioned Kylian Mbappé.

Frontman Mbappé was for his part responsible for all three of his side’s goals against Barcelona, conjuring up a stellar individual display when his side needed it most.

And in the process, the summer arrival at Real Madrid secured for himself some modern Spanish football history.

This means that the Frenchman, in his first season in Spain, has managed something not done by club legends the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Raúl, and Karim Benzema.
