Brentford Under-21 winger Kyreece Lisbie says the young Bees want to continue their winning run against Swansea City Under-21s on Monday night (7pm kick-off).

Neil MacFarlane’s side travel to Wales to face the young Swans as they return to Professional Development League action, looking to make it five victories on the bounce across all competitions.

Having also won four-straight league games dating back to early October, Lisbie said the side want to continue putting together strong performances.

“Looking ahead to the game, I think we just want to continue our winning run. We know Swansea will be tough, but we do not really focus on the opponent,” said Lisbie.

“We look at ourselves and we feel that as long as we play our game, then we will be okay.”

Lisbie has featured in all of the past four games, starting twice and coming on as a substitute twice, including logging a goal and an assist against Ipswich Town Under-21s away from home.

“The team is doing very well and I am very happy with how we are performing. I just returned from injury and it was a great feeling to score at Portman Road against Ipswich,” explained Lisbie.

“I want to keep working hard, Neil wants us to compete for our place in the team whilst we still continue to develop at the training ground.

“I think we have a full understanding of what the coaches expect from us and you can see it on the pitch.

“I want to make sure I am doing everything I can to be a major contributor to the team. Being injured can always be tough but I am getting into a routine and I am enjoying my football.”
