FC Barcelona are expected to part ways with some of their out-of-favour players in the summer transfer window in order to free up space for new signings.

The Blaugrana already made efforts to ship off their unwanted stars like Ansu Fati in January but nothing came of it. But exits are very much expected in the summer transfer window.

Girona want Ansu, Pablo Torre

Now, Fichajes reports that Girona are looking to reinforce their squad ahead of the next campaign with the signing of Barcelona duo Ansu Fati and Pablo Torre.

Both players have struggled for game time, and Girona manager Michel has identified the pair as key targets to improve the team, with the Catalan club also seeing their situation as an opportunity to bring them in to boost their squad.

The 22-year-old forward has faced difficulties regaining his best form after a series of injuries that have stalled his progress.

Once seen as Lionel Messi’s natural successor, his role at Barcelona has diminished over time. Under Hansi Flick, he has failed to earn any sort of prominence, making a summer departure a real possibility.

However, Michel believes Fati still has the talent to make a difference and sees him as a solution to strengthen Girona’s attack. A loan or a transfer on favourable terms could be an appealing option for both the player and the club.

Torre, despite showing positive signs every time he has been given a chance, continues to suffer from a lack of minutes at Barcelona.

With his technical ability and vision, he is seen as a player with room for growth, and Girona could provide the platform for him to develop. The Spaniard already spent a season on loan under Michel and could return next summer.

At Barcelona, there is an understanding that both Fati and Torre need regular playing time to continue their development. As a result, the Blaugrana are open to loan deals or even permanent transfers if the right offer comes in.
