Barcelona will play their final home match of the season and their last game at Montjuic tomorrow when they host Villarreal.

Having been crowned the winners of La Liga, the Blaugrana will receive the trophy tomorrow in front of their fans and hope to see them off with a performance befitting their champion status.

It could also be a historic occasion as manager Hansi Flick hinted that he is considering fielding an all-La Masia starting lineup against Marcelino’s team tomorrow.

In that scenario, out-of-favour goalkeeper Inaki Pena could get a starting berth ahead of Wojciech Szczesny and Marc-Andre ter Stegen.

Pena’s last game for Barcelona?

And according to Roger Torello of Mundo Deportivo, Pena could make his final appearance for Barcelona this Sunday, should Hansi Flick choose to give him minutes in the match against Villarreal.

Despite having a contract with the club until June 2026, the La Masia goalkeeper intends to move on in the summer and find a team where he can enjoy more playing time.

Just over a month ago, Pena changed his representation and joined the AC Talent agency, which also works with his teammates Pablo Torre and Hector Fort, as well as former manager Xavi Hernandez.

Although he was Flick’s first-choice goalkeeper following Ter Stegen’s injury, Pena was relegated to the bench from January onwards when the German coach opted for Szczesny in the crucial phase of the season.

Since Ter Stegen’s return, the Spaniard has been pushed further down the pecking order and is currently the third-choice keeper.

There has been no talk of a renewal and unless Barcelona inform him otherwise, Pena is expected to seek an exit in search of more prominent opportunities elsewhere.

Pena is not ruling out any options and would consider offers both from Spain and abroad. One club currently considering strengthening their squad with the 26-year-old is Celta Vigo, although no concrete offer has been made yet.

Should he get a chance tomorrow, Pena could say goodbye to the Barcelona fans, much like his teammate Ansu Fati, who is also headed for a summer exit.
