Aston Villa have entered the chase for a standout LaLiga defender who’s already caught the attention of Arsenal and PSG. However, there’s now a German club that will be looking to hijack their target.
With Luis Enrique flourishing in Paris—particularly with his track record of developing young talent—PSG could be an enticing destination for the rising star.
Even though PSG boast one of the strongest backlines in Ligue 1, the wear and tear of a long season is beginning to show. Lucas Hernandez is still working his way back to full fitness after a major injury, and while Marquinhos remains a leader, he’s no longer the explosive presence he was in his early 20s.
Presnel Kimpembe continues to play a key role behind the scenes, but there are doubts about how much he can offer on the pitch in the near future. Luis Enrique is optimistic about Lucas Beraldo’s potential, but for now, the young Brazilian is still too raw to be more than a squad player.

Fichajes relayed the information that RB Leipzig has decided to make a move and go all out for Mosquera. Leipzig are reportedly willing to meet the figure Valencia is demanding: a total transaction that would be close to €20 million.
On a sporting level, the player’s entourage views the German club’s project positively. Although it won’t play in European competition next season, it is planning a major roster overhaul, with Mosquera playing a key role.
Aston Villa are keeping a close eye on Valencia CF center back Cristian Mosquera, according to Radio Marca. The Premier League side—led by Unai Emery and with Monchi overseeing transfers—have been tracking the young defender since last season. Their strong relationship with the Spanish club has given them a chance to follow Mosquera’s development up close.
Mosquera is expected to draw significant interest as the summer window approaches. In addition to PSG and Arsenal, both AC Milan and Juventus have previously shown interest.

Foot Mercato recently reported that PSG have set their sights on Valencia center-back Cristhian Mosquera as part of their push to add more youth to their defense this summer.
The 20-year-old Spanish international prospect has been a standout for Valencia—strong, quick, and reliable in one-on-one situations. But with the club looking to improve its financial situation, a summer sale is on the table.
Meanwhile, Cadena SER reports that Arsenal are preparing a summer bid for the Spanish-Colombian defender. The Gunners are said to be ready to offer around €20 million, a figure Valencia considers fair for one of their most promising young players.
