After the signing of Patrick Dorgu, Manchester United hope to strengthen their attack before Monday’s deadline. As reported by Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg, the Premier League side held talks this morning regarding the signing of Aston Villa’s Leon Bailey.
A loan move for Chelsea’s Christopher Nkunku isn’t entirely off the table either. As earlier reported by Sky Germany, the idea of swapping Alejandro Garnacho for Nkunku was discussed.
Plettenberg further adds that discussions with the entourage of Mathys Tel are ongoing, while the Old Trafford outfit remain in contact with Bayern Munich. The Frenchman was left out of the Rekordmeister’s win against Holstein Kiel on Saturday, with Bayern sporting director Christoph Freund saying: “A lot’s been going on with the young lad in the past few days. He’s only 19. We decided together with him yesterday that there’s a lot on his mind, so it makes no sense for him to be involved today.
“That was discussed very openly with him. But that doesn’t mean anything. There’s a lot going on right now. Lots of clubs are interested in Mathys. He just needs to think about things today and tomorrow.”
Speaking to Sky Germany, Freund did suggest that hint that Tel could remain at Bayern beyond tomorrow’s deadline: “You can never rule anything out 100 percent.”
