Arne Slot’s side face another busy week as Champions League returns
Liverpool ensured they remained in control of the Premier League last week.
The Reds appeared to have stumbled in recent weeks, losing to Tottenham in the first leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final while drawing with Manchester United in the Premier League.
Still, they ensured they left title rivals Nottingham Forest with a point in a 1-1 draw on Tuesday before Darwin Nunez secured a late 2-0 win over Brentford on Saturday.
It means Arne Slot’s side sit six points clear in the Premier League table all while boasting a game in hand on both Forest and Arsenal.
Another busy week awaits, however.
Liverpool host Lille in the Champions League on Tuesday night before welcoming Ipswich on Saturday.
With that in mind, here’s a look at the latest Liverpool injuries.
A frustrating season on the injury front continued for Diogo Jota, who scored Liverpool’s equaliser at Forest.
The Portugal forward suffered a knock in that game and duly missed the trip to Brentford.
"He felt a little bit when he came in [at Forest], a little niggle during the half-hour he came in,” said Slot last week.
“He could finish the game, but afterwards he complained a bit about it and that's why he didn't train yesterday [Thursday before the Brentford game].”
Potential return date: Unknown

Joe Gomez hasn’t featured for Liverpool since coming off against West Ham last month with a hamstring injury.
The England international’s return date is unclear, with Slot saying Gomez was “quite far” away from a comeback when speaking last week.
