Liverpool to name weakened side with Champions League qualification already secured
Arne Slot will rotate his Liverpool side as they travel to face PSV in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
The Reds have already secured a top-eight finish in the league phase after seven straight wins, ensuring they are through to the last-16 whatever happens in the Netherlands.
Slot has therefore chance to rest some of his first-team stars with a tough trip to Bournemouth coming on Saturday, before Liverpool then face Tottenham in the second leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final tie.
Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Luis Diaz and Ibrahima Konate are among the host of players who have not travelled.
Of the more experienced members in the squad, Andy Robertson, Kostas Tsimikas, Cody Gakpo and Darwin Nunez have made the trip.
Federico Chiesa is set to make only his second start of the season. Darwin Nunez will hope to lead the line, with Harvey Elliott potentially starting in an attacking midfield role behind him.
Wataru Endo could partner Jarell Quansah in defence, while Tyler Morton is expected to start in midfield.
Conor Bradley will almost certainly line up at right-back, with Slot then having both Tsimikas and Robertson to choose from on the left.
Joe Gomez has returned to training, but has missed the last seven games. Curtis Jones, who missed Saturday's win over Ipswich with a groin problem, and striker Diogo Jota, who has been out for a fortnight with a muscle injury, have yet to rejoin the squad.
