Paris Saint-Germain have a major decision to make: Is Gianluigi Donnarumma still their long-term solution in goal? His contract runs through 2026, but time is starting to run short.

Since joining from AC Milan in 2021, Donnarumma has delivered some memorable moments—penalty saves against Liverpool and key stops versus Aston Villa and Arsenal this season stand out.

Still, his time in Paris has been far from flawless. High-profile mistakes, most notably the one against Real Madrid in 2022, continue to cast doubt on whether he can be trusted in the biggest moments.

Now, with PSG preparing for the UEFA Champions League final and Donnarumma playing a pivotal role in the run, the club has to decide if that’s enough to fully back him as their No. 1 going forward.

In recent weeks, Donnarumma has generated interest from other top clubs in Europe. With the Italian performing well in this Champions League, there will be a line of suitors if he reaches free agency.

A recent report from Fichajes claims that Manchester United are among the clubs keeping a close eye on Italian international Gianluigi Donnarumma.

United’s sporting directors reportedly view Donnarumma as a potential market opportunity and are preparing an offer of around €60 million to bring him in. However, if the Red Devils want to pursue a shot stopper, they face a major issue.

According to The Mirror, Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana is determined to stay at Old Trafford and fight for his spot. Despite questions over his position following a string of mistakes—and reports that United are exploring options for a new goalkeeper—Onana reportedly has no plans to leave.

Journalist Alfredo Pedullà recently reported that Inter Milan, Bayern Munich, Manchester City, and Juventus are all interested in signing Donnarumma, who could be on the move this summer if PSG doesn’t offer him a contract extension.
