The race to sign Hugo Larsson (20) is hotting up with Manchester City joining fellow Premier League clubs pursuing the Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder, according to Sky Germany.
Talks have already been initiated, and the Swede is also aware of interest. Under contract at Eintracht Frankfurt until 2029, a transfer in the summer would not be cheap, with Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham and other top clubs showing an interest in Larsson.
Per Sky Germany, Eintracht sporting director Markus Krösche wants at least €60m for Larsson, who has played 37 games across all competitions under Dino Toppmöller this season. Since his move from Malmö in 2023, the Sweden international has played 75 games in all competitions, becoming an integral part of the SGE squad at such a young age.
As reported in February, even if Eintracht Frankfurt qualify for Champions League football next season, it’s not certain that Larsson will remain at the club. But as previously shown, Frankfurt are known for being tough negotiators as evident with Randal Kolo Muani, Omar Marmoush, Sebastien Haller and Luka Jovic and with Larsson, whose stock is high, SGE will again demand a significant fee.
