There are a host of storylines to watch out for from a Manchester City point of view, both ahead of and during this weekend’s FA Cup final. How Crystal Palace set up to go at Pep Guardiola’s side is one such storyline. A quote from Oliver Glasner after Manchester City’s recent 5-2 win over Palace at the Etihad does stand out. Whether or not Kevin De Bruyne can link up with Erling Haaland for another goal could be another. Another storyline to monitor is the fitness of Pep Guardiola’s squad ahead of the match. On that front, it appears that only one Manchester City player is unavailable for selection for the FA Cup final at Wembley.

John Stones hasn’t been pictured training this week.

This week has seen a host of images shared on mancity.com of the Manchester City squad training ahead of the FA Cup final. The majority of the City squad have been seen in those images. But one player hasn’t been sighted in those images. That is centre-back John Stones.

The England international hasn’t featured for Pep Guardiola’s side since Manchester City’s 3-1 defeat to Real Madrid at the Bernabeu in February. Stones was substituted early in that game due to injury. He sustained a thigh injury against Carlo Ancelotti’s side. Based on current information, Stones is unavailable for the FA Cup final.

Nathan Ake and Oscar Bobb have trained ahead of the FA Cup final, which is good news for Manchester City.

But in positive news for Manchester City, Oscar Bobb and Nathan Ake have both trained this week. Both players appear to be available for selection for the FA Cup final against Crystal Palace at Wembley. Whether or not they are included in Manchester City’s squad for tomorrow’s match remains to be seen.

A further update on the condition of the Manchester City squad is expected when Pep Guardiola fronts the media later today. But based on the latest information, only John Stones appears to be out of contention to feature at Wembley.
