England forward Marcus Rashford is reportedly keen on leaving Manchester United in January.

Rashford has started the new campaign under Erik ten Hag strongly, having scored four goals and registered three assists in 12 appearances across all competitions.

However, it is still early days in the new season, and he has a lot to do to win over his doubters after a frustrating 2023/24 season, which concluded with the 26-year-old missing out on a place in Gareth Southgate’s England squad for the Euros.

As per a “bombshell report” from Spain relayed by TEAMtalk, Rashford seemingly feels United are at fault for his decline. Accordingly, he has asked to depart “at the earliest opportunity” in January.

The United academy product “believes there is neither an ambitious nor stable project” at Old Trafford, and has allegedly “already asked his agent” to engineer a move away from the club. He is understood to be looking for a switch “as soon as possible.”

Recently, The Peoples Person relayed a report claiming Bayern Munich and Marseille have joined Paris Saint-Germain in the race for his signature.

Marseille have been named as his suitors by the Spanish report too. They further claim that Aston Villa and Napoli “would be delighted” to sign Rashford as well.

Napoli are reported to be the most “insistent” of the suitors. In Naples, Rashford would get the opportunity to reunite with Romelu Lukaku and Scott McTominay.

The Scotland international moved to Serie A this summer and has enjoyed a resurgence in form in new surroundings, further raising question marks over the environment at United.

Still, regardless of how tricky his situation has been in Manchester over the past 18 months, it is far-fetched to suggest Rashford is pushing for a swift exit from his boyhood club.

Further, the dynamic forward, who is contracted to United until 2028, is the only experienced goalscorer at Ten Hag’s disposal.

As such, the Mancunian giants are unlikely to consider any proposals for their talisman. Taking everything into account, it might be wise to take the report with a pinch of salt.
