One Chelsea player has admitted that he is very close to one of the other Blues lads who had a positive impact in the game last night.
Chelsea welcomed Southampton to Stamford Bridge last night and although they were a terrible opposition, the home side had an important job to do.
The Blues won the game 4-0 in what was a much needed convincing performance, with goals coming from Christopher Nkunku, Pedro Neto, Levi Colwill, and Marc Cucurella.
The Saints were a very poor opposition of course, but Chelsea really needed a big win and a big performance, and that is exactly what they did last night right in the nick of time as they look to keep challenging for that all important Champions League spot.
Neto was superb playing as the number 9 and as well as getting his goal, he has explained why he loves playing as a striker with a hilarious answer!
Nkunku’s goal was brave and showed a lot of determination to get his head in there to get the ball over the line between the defender and the goalkeeper, and he needed that impact more than many after a turmoil time recently.

Chelsea wanted to sell Nkunku in the winter window but ended up pricing him out of a move – this would have had a negative impact on him for sure.
Levi Colwill is pleased for his good pal.
The defender said on Nkunku:
“Me and him are close. We have been talking. I know how much he wants.
“I know how much he cares and today is a reward for him for staying in there and digging in deep. I am so happy he scored.”
