Milan’s move for Marcus Rashford held back by two problems | OneFootball

Serie A giants Milan remain keen on signing Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford but their move is said to be held back by two problems.

La Gazzetta dello Sport‘s Luca Bianchin has looked at the situation in detail two, with a meeting having taken place between the forward’s entourage and Milan yesterday.

The clear impression is that if Milan want, they can close the deal and are well ahead of Borussia Dortmund in the chase. There are two issues holding the move back and one is about a fixed place in the squad. Noah Okafor and Samuel Chukwueze are yet to exit. There is interest from RB Leipzig in the Swiss, who is yet to be intrigued by the idea of a move.

Milan will free up spaces from the exits of the two and also earn €15m to €20m from the sales. Then there is the obvious issue of the wages, with Rashford’s current net demands at €13m per season. Milan can’t afford that and can only pay a gross amount of €5m. The Englishman will have to give up on a part of the salary or United will have to contribute to a major portion of it.

Rashford knows that there is a project on offer from the Rossoneri and he has opened up to the idea of the move.
