The selection of March 27th as the date for the previously postponed La Liga match between FC Barcelona and Osasuna led to indignation from both sides.

The cause for the Blaugranes’ disappointment was quite clear. With the match set to be played on this date, the Catalans were highly unlikely to be able to count on two of their key players, Ronald Araujo and Raphinha, as their national team duties would not have allowed them to return in time for this clash.

However, as SPORT has reported, there is still a possibility that these two players will at least be on the squad list for the game between Barcelona and Osasuna, as they will return from South America on a private flight, accompanied by other Atlético Madrid and Real Madrid players.

The match between Uruguay and Bolivia is scheduled to take place before the one between Brazil and Argentina. As a result, Uruguayan internationals José María Giménez, Federico Valverde, and Ronald Araújo will travel to Buenos Aires and from there will accompany other players, including Vinícius Júnior, Endrick, Nahuel Molina, Julián Álvarez, Rodrigo De Paul, and Raphinha, back to Spain.

However, some of these players can return early or later for personal reasons, like Ronald Araujo, who is likely to be released early by his national team as Uruguay does not want to take any risks with his fitness with a highly demanding match against Bolivia.

But even if not released early, this idea of a private flight will allow the two Barcelona players to return in time to be a part of the squad for the game against Osasuna. They will not be able to participate in any training sessions for this game, and might not even start, but will still be available for Flick to play if the need arises.
