Newcastle United Women sign Freya Gregory on a permanent deal | OneFootball

Newcastle United have signed England U-23 international winger Freya Gregory on a permanent deal from Aston Villa.

She made 11 appearances in all competitions while on loan at Southampton in the first half of the season, scoring twice.

Gregory told nufc.co.uk: “To have this opportunity to play for such an ambitious, passionate club is something that I’m really excited for.

“I can’t wait to be a part of the city and the club to see where this journey will take us all.”

Head coach Becky Langley said: “Freya is an exciting winger who can terrorise defenders with her speed and one-on-one ability. I love her ability to touch and deliver with quality.

“She’s confident, passionate and ambitious. We’re all excited for what is ahead.”
