Official: AC Milan appoint Francesca Montini as Chief Brand Officer | OneFootball

AC Milan have official announced the appointment of Francesca Montini as the club’s new Chief Brand Officer.

In a statement on their website Milan have confirmed the hiring of Montini. Reporting directly to CEO Giorgio Furlani, she will be responsible for the marketing, branding, communications, content & digital departments.

The statement continues: “Thanks to the extensive international experience developed during his professional career, Montini will contribute to the global enhancement of the brand, to the development of Milan’s international fan base, always intercepting new audiences and strengthening the bond with the current ones, and to the positioning of the Club as a protagonist in the evolution of international sports-entertainment, connecting and exciting millions of Rossoneri in Italy and around the world through new experiences, languages ​​and media.

“Before joining Milan, Montini worked in several markets considered strategic by the Rossoneri Club – from Europe to the Middle East, up to the United States – for prestigious global brands, such as Nokia, Nike, Ford, Jeep and Ferrari where, since 2017, she has taken on roles of increasing responsibility, until her appointment as Chief Communications Officer in 2023.”

Francesca holds a Masters Degree in Corporate Communications from the University of Rome La Sapienza. Her work as the Chief Communications Officer with Ferrari suggests that she will be a replacement of sorts for Pier Donato Vercellone, who left his role at Milan recently.

As a reminder, Milan are expected to undergo a management restructuring in the coming weeks and months especially on the playing side, with a new sporting director expected to arrive as well as potentially a Director of Football.
