Having progressed to the quarterfinals of the 2024/25 Copa del Rey, FC Barcelona have now learned who they will be facing in the last-eight stage of the competition.
The Blaugrana could have drawn any of the seven La Liga teams that made it to this round for the quarterfinal in Valencia, Real Sociedad, Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Getafe, Leganes, and Osasuna.
And now, the draw, conducted today at the RFEF Headquarters at Las Rozas has seen them get paired up against Valencia.
Given that Los Che were drawn first, it will be a home game for them, meaning the quarterfinal tie will be played at Mestalla
Barcelona started their journey in the cup competition from the Round of 32 earlier this month, having been exempted from the earlier rounds due to their participation in the Spanish Super Cup.
The Catalans eased past lower-division side UD Barbastro, winning 4-0 in the Round of 32, before thrashing fellow La Liga side Real Betis 5-1 in the Round of 16 last week.
Meanwhile, Valencia have only played lower-league teams so far in the competition, beating Parla Escuela, Ejea, Eldense, and Ourense.
The two teams squared off on the opening day of the La Liga season, with Barcelona defeating Valencia 2-1.
The quarterfinal tie will be a one-legged affair and is scheduled to be played between 4th and 6th February.
Barcelona will play Deportivo Alaves and Sevilla on either side of this fixture in La Liga.
