FC Barcelona are looking to seal a place in the Spanish Super Cup final as they take on Athletic Club in the semifinal.
Following a 4-0 win over Barbastro in the Copa Del Rey, coach Hansi Flick has reversed some of the changes he had made in the cup game.
However, Wojciech Szczesny has retained his place in the starting eleven and starts for the second time in a row, ahead of Inaki Pena.
It appears the Pole will serve as Barcelona’s go-to goalkeeper for the domestic cup competitions for the remainder of the campaign.
Flick has retained a familiar backline as well, with Inigo Martinez and Pau Cubarsi operating at centre-back.
In midfield, Gavi gets the nod to start alongside Pedri and Marc Casado, though the former will operate in a more advanced role.
Speaking of the attack, Lamine Yamal returns to the starting eleven after struggling with an injury. Yamal is set to play a key role in the final third, alongside Raphinha and Gavi.
Dani Olmo and Pau Victor, meanwhile, are not a part of the squad as Barcelona have yet to receive any intimation from the CSD surrounding a precautionary measure.
